Stanley J. Feldman attended The Thomas M. Cooley Law School, graduating in 1993 and in the top third of his class. While at Cooley he served on the Thomas M. Cooley Law Review. Since his admission to the Michigan Bar, Mr. Feldman’s practice as a trial attorney has been devoted to civil litigation. He began his legal career as a defense attorney working for a small medical malpractice defense firm in Genesee County. Upon relocating to the the Metro-Detroit area several years later, Mr. Feldman took a position as a litigator with one of the nation's largest and most respected civil defense firms, and helped to establish the firm's satellite office branch in Southfield. In 1999, after nearly 6 years of insurance defense work, Mr. Feldman joined a well respected plaintiff's personal injury law firm, where he helped to expand and enhance the firm's trial practice. The position afforded Mr. Feldman extensive trial experience and enabled him to compile an impressive trial record en route to becoming a Partner in that firm. Mr. Feldman’s practical experience, having successfully represented both plaintiffs and defendants in trial, proved to be an invaluable asset, helping him to achieve many substantial trial verdicts on behalf of injured clients while enabling him to negotiate millions of dollars in settlement for others. By way of limited example, in 2007 Mr. Feldman settled a premises liability claim for 2.1 million dollars and also obtained a jury verdict of 1.5 million dollars in a medical malpractice action. In 2008, Mr. Feldman joined Chris Hastings to form Hastings & Feldman; an association of trial attorneys dedicated to representing and protecting the rights of people in pursuit of catastrophic injury or death claims. Mr. Feldman is AV peer review rated by Martindale-Hubbell. He is licensed to practice in both Georgia and Michigan. He is an active member of the American Association for Justice, and a sustaining member of the Michigan Association for Justice, appointed to and serving on its Executive Board. He also serves by appointment on the State Bar of Michigan Character & Fitness Committee. He is a Plaintiff Case Evaluation specialist sitting on Oakland and Wayne County negligence and medical malpractice panels, and is routinely appointed by peers to serve on arbitration panels. |
